Peach Bowl = meh
Chick fila Peach bowl = solid
Chick fila Bowl = dumbass name
Can't understand why sharing the name is not good enough for these companies. They ruined the name so badly, now they're starting the cycle over again.

I don't get it either. They want to associate themselves with big time bowls but then they want to turn around and dump the name that everyone knows.
When Joe Blow football fan hears the name Gator Bowl they have an idea of how good the teams and game will be. When they just hear a purely corporate name like TaxSlayer it sounds like some bullshite low level bowl created recently for 6-6 teams in December.

Exactly. I thought TaxSlayer had it right before. TaxSlayer Gator Bowl or Gator Bowl presented by TaxSlayer seems smarter.

The playoff made them go back to their traditional name.
You had 5 classic sounding games (Rose, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta, Cotton) all with sponsers.
You can't have "Chick Fil A" in that mix.
I'm fine with bowls having sponsers, but I don't like the sponser name BEING the bowl name.
If the sponser changest he name of the bowl changes which is just weird.
The Rose and Sugar and Orange bowls sponser has chanegd a lot of the years but you always had it's traditional name.

Despite the fact Alabama has more bowl appearances than any program, and despite the fact Alabama has appeared in more distinct bowl games than any program, Alabama has never played in the Peach Bowl, despite the SEC having a tie in with it for decades now.

That's a good start. "The Peach Bowl presented by Chick-fil-A" would be better, but at least they kinda sorta restored the name.
