ESPN isn't interested in any stories about Mississippi that don't involve violence and racism so you'll have to spice it up a little by making some of the Ole Miss players and/or fans overtly racist. Maybe have an African American assist the State players with the cow.

Otherwise, I think your story is solid gold.

Don't fear the reaper...Blue Oyster Cult

The art of using a cowbell has been lost by the music industry and bastardized by MSU. Sad time.

I'm not trying to accuse Texas A&M of copying the "Origin Of The Cowbell" story to draw inspiration for their "Tale Of The Twelfth Man". But the stories sound eerily similar.

Probably already stated, but isn't MSU copying the 12 man tradition? 1922 is before 1932.

Obviously not, ours has a cow.

The original 12th man story probably took some liberties from our story in future re-tellings.

I wasn't going to read all that, but I did. Good story. I think it is better than the 12th man. Thanks for posting.

This is great, but what makes it really great it that it's not too far from the truth

Yeah but it's still a cowbell.

The Book of Manning was about violence and racism?

The book of manning was about Peyton Manning, the current Manning who is breaking the NFL record books. Not Eli Manning, who's famous for tripping over his linemen.

Such anger. Wishing a violent death upon innocence animals. State fans just wake up to a bad day.
