The South is hospitable though
Remember it took like 4 seconds for BK to become a Southern speaking crawfish eating Cajun

Sarkisian was born in California and played college ball at Mormon school BYU. He could never be successful in the South, right? God you people are stupid.

Same thing has been said about 2 LSU coaches. One of which just retired as the GOAT. Tge other won the west in his first year, had a Heisman winner in his second and the #1 ranked recruiting class in his 3rd.

Most of LSU’s coaches since at least Paul Dietzel have not been Southern, or at least Deep Southern, Arnsparger, Archer, DiNardo, Saban, Miles, and Kelly. I doubt it will be an issue at Bama either.

The fact he doesn’t know the sec or the south probably a upside as long as he’s a brilliant football mind. The two need each other the bama machine needs an elite football mind he knows offense and he needs a southern recruiting machine. If he’s a Gene Stallings who Stays 10-15 years that’s perfect. Because he’s not from the south he’s probably fine being that so long as he does get some hardware over that time

Your coach is from California and literally failed at the job this Dude is coming from before coaching rehab at Alabama. BK made his name in the Midwest. Good coaches can come from anywhere. I feel pretty confident that Alabama can surround him with people who know the real South (which doesn’t include Texas).

Winning travels. All of this "good fit" bullshite because geography is ridiculous. Saban wasn't from SEC country either. Good coaches can win anywhere.

Keeping it real. In his 25-year coaching
career before LSU , Saban never had a toe in the
south , nor recruiting connections in the SEC.
