The Black Bears mite wanna check with tulane & Ga.Tech, the last 2 schools to leave the SEC & see how that worked out for both programs. tulane will never come back to being decent & it's taken Ga. Tech decades to get even close to where it used to be.

Ole Miss would be doing the SEC a big favor by resigning. Big 12 looking for a few good men.

Hilarious. I was alive during the SMU mess, when TCU got popped for Ken Davis, all of it. I remember Akers. I remember when UT lost to SMU, and everyone thought the world had ended.
And yes, Arkansas' departure was a death knell for the SWC. You might ask them the reasons for their departure.

Uh? GaTech won a national title after leaving the SEC. And in recent memory as well. More recent than UGA.

Ole Miss' entire tradition is as a member of the SEC. You think the movers and shakers of the university, generations of alumni and former players would entertain
leaving the SEC? Hell No.
Economically it would be like trading Apple stock for HTC stock.
Ole Miss is butt hurt and rightfully so. They haven't won the SEC since 1963. They were close in 2003 to at least getting to Atlanta but Elie fell on his arse and (salt in the wound), LSU won it all that year. Then Freeze comes along brings hope, some degree of relevance and a brief stay in the Top 5. Now, all is lost. They are back to being "runts" again. It has to be a bitter pill to swallow.
