What's the advantage to having an indoor baseball field with that low of ceilings over a regular outdoor baseball field?

With the infield defense y'all had this year I'd say that indoor practice field was a little underutilized

It just got completed a few weeks ago
We were 9th in fielding % but led the SEC in amount of double plays turned. Our starting SS was out most of the year.

Of course, I am somewhat prejudiced, but it would be hard to find anyone that has better overall facilities.
From what I understand, Bud Walton needs a bit of a facelift, as it is aging. Baum is very good, and Razorback stadium has plans to enclose the North End Zone while adding more sky boxes.
