Mike Shula might be my favorite coach of all time. And it is hard to hate LSU.

Great history in this series

1988 - Earthquake Game

1994 - The Interception Game

1995 - Nix to Twillie/Bring Back the Magic

1998 - The Barn Burner

1999 - The Cigar game

2001 - Golden Band from Tigerland owns Duval at halftime

2003 - Cadillac towed away

2004 - The over the back PAT block & redo

2005 - John Vaughn 0/5

2006 - Refgate

2007 - Flynn to Byrd

2010 - Cam Runs Wild

2011 - Auburn waves the white flag

2014 - Harris' first shaky start leads to beatdown

so many great ones. I love this series. The only time I truly hated Auburn was when Tubbs & Chiz were there. Once they left, I can honestly say I have no real beef with Auburn & look forward to this game every year.

And Auburn fans get my vote for most enjoyable group in the SEC to tailgate with. I can remember walking out of JHS in 2006 after Refgate and pretty much everyone we encountered was really cool about it. Ended up stopping at one of their tailgates and getting wasted on the way back to our tailgate. Fun times.

Thank God for Mike Price.

It's a shame y'all didn't get Mike Riley but it worked out pretty well for the Beavers.

LINK

Wazzu has been absolutely awful ever since Price left.

2005 and 2007 games

frick both those games, they were heart breakers. But seriously, solid post from the OP, it's nice to see something about this game that isn't a total shite fest. Hope it's a good one.

Honestly, I bet Croom would have done better.

Also, the 2006 game was the hardest hitting football game I've ever witnessed in person.

I was there too. The entire stadium was hanging on every play. It got LOUD up in there.

Apparently I thought the game would be over by the 3rd quarter. I underestimated both Fournette and Auburn's ability to return serve in the 2nd half.

This game matters and this game usually entertains until the end. Usually. This year it will still matter but only the LSU fans will be entertained.

100% truth.
