Welp, that settles it. We got us another insider.

Never claimed to be one of those either. However, I do hear things from time to time.

Not one Ohio player in the top 50.

Recruiting rankings are a joke.

I never said he was as fast as Diggs. I made a comparison based YOUR measurables for a 5-star WR. U mad?

Yes, I am so mad.

Diggs has one 40 time listed on 3 of the major recruiting websites. It states 4.43. Chris Black has two. One says 4.40, the other says 4.50.

Why are you comparing their speeds if you don't think Black is as fast as Diggs?

Assuming Cooper is already silently commited to Bama (just roll with it)...wouldnt he be the better WR to compare to Diggs? He seems to be the explosive WR we are trying to get in this class.

Go back and read what I said in my original post Junior. YOU are the one focusing on the speed aspect. I responded to your scouting expertise when it comes to the measurables of a 5-star WR. I pointed out that Diggs and Black have COMPARABLE measurables.

You wouldn't have a problem at all with Black's measurables if he was committed to Florida State.

I'm not comparing Black to Diggs. I'm only stating that it's ridiculous for TTsTowel to make the statement that Black shouldn't be a 5-star WR because he doesn't have the "measurables" to be one. He and Diggs are around the same size, weight, and speed (according to everyone but Towel). If Diggs wasn't considering AU and Black wasn't committed to UA, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Hence, the delusional homerism on TTsTowel's part.

Cooper is bigger and stronger than both of them.

I said the same about Black while he was still considering FSU. I can bump a thread, if you'd like? A bunch of other Bama fans think the same thing. You're the one being delusional.

They bumped Barry Sanders to the #1 player in Oklahoma. Anybody that actually lives in OK and follows high school football will tell you that hands down Alex Ross is the best player in the state. I know the don't have a scout in our area right now but all they have to do is pick up a phone and call.

I'm sure you did. I imagine you probably talk shite about most of the kids who have Alabama as a finalist. Unless, of course, they are still considering AU.

Just a few comments from another thread on here:

quote:

He's not a 5* WR, but a good one nonetheless

quote:

Yeah, I've heard he's a little overrated right now. But regardless he's a top 10 WR

quote:

as many have said, he's probably slightly overrated right now

quote:

He's good, but not Julio. He's a 5'11 possession receiver. Jarvis Landry-esque

quote:

And runs 4.5-4.6. He wasn't going to see the field for a while anyway. The depth at slot for fsu is insane. Playing time was his major factor.

quote:

How does a 5-11, 170 lbs receiver who runs a 4.5-4.6 get a 4-5* rating? Does he have the best hand to ever come out of high school? Is he extremely shifty like a Reggie Bush or Dexter McCluster to make up for the slower speed?

quote:

Nope. Just runs good routes and has good hands. Hence why everyone but Bama fans say he's a bit overrated. He's just one of those guys who gets open and catches the ball consistently. So a solid player, but likely not a superstar

quote:

He has good hands, run good routes, and it's a weak WR's class in Florida this cycle.

From a Bama fan with insider status on this board:

quote:

Not a 5*, but a solid 4*. He is very polished. Runs crisp routes/breaks. He has excellent hands. He doesnt have top end speed of Maze, but reminds me of Maze in a lot of other ways. He is a little shiftier than it appears many are giving him credit for being

Which is a lot similar to what I have been saying.

quote:

Yeah I just watched two highlight videos on him and he definitely looks like he has great hands. That seems to be his biggest asset and will be huge as a freshman. To my untrained eye I would venture to say the 4.5-4.6 speed the Nole poster said is probably true. He doesn't look like a burner as he only ran away from the defense on one play in the two videos I watched

That's all just from one thread.

Now...

When exactly did I "talk shite" about him? I said he has great hands and runs great routes, but doesn't have great speed. I also said he was a great player. So, please, explain to me how that's talking shite about a player. I'll wait.
