Where did I say Walker wasn't good?
He was a phenomenal running back.
I was merely putting some perspective through stats to his numbers.
He rushed for three times the yards and interestingly had three times the carries.
Getting 1900+ yards and 18 TD's is a big year, but it isn't so remarkable someone tripling up on yards with triple the attempts. You would expect that from a talent like Walker.

He was awesome, but that may say more about the other backs in the league that year. I mean 1800 yards is impressive but not unheard of.

As of 1982, the following season.. Here were the top 5 rushing seasons in college football history. Note the players and the schools:
1. Marcus Allen, USC, 1981 - 2,427 (senior season)
2. Tony Dorsett, Pitt, 1976 - 2,150 (senior season)
3. Charles White, USC, 1979 - 2,050 (senior season)
4. Ricky Bell, USC, 1975 - 1,957 (junior season)
5. Herschel Walker, Georgia, 1981, 1,891 (sophomore season)
