I always knew that Tenn was getting fricked by the refs at home....now I have proof

No you don't. You have proof that UT gets a lot of penalties called. There's no proof that they were bad calls

How many penalties are called on your team doesn't mean much. It's the differential between how many are called on you versus your opponent.

Exactly. I thought I remembered seeing that Alabama's opponents have been the least penalized in the SEC over the last few years as well.

Bottom line is that in Alabama games the level of play is just elevated all around. Further proof that Alabama is God's gift to football.

We have been the most penalized team in the conference Since Spurrier started at UF in 1990. I used to think it was 2 reasons:
SEC envy (refs are from deep South)
With Spurrier's offense we ran more plays (Prob why A&M gets so many now)

But it has continued through Zook and Meyer and still hasn't changed with our "punt and play defense" philosophy under Muschamp. I am guessing it is partially disclipline and partially still SEC envy since we are the guido Yankee beach bums of the SEC.

Of course ask any of the piggies and we get all the calls.....

So what you have blatantly pointed out with these numbers is that put of the big 6 only Alabama sits with a + differential in penalties. Hmmmm that's interesting.

Last five years there is really just a Big 1. The unparalled discipline indicated by these penalty numbers are a but a symptom of that excellence. As is 3 of 4.
