Looks like all 3 schools (MSU, OM and USM) are in a very good position to host a regional.
Pretty impressive for a state with 2 million shoeless, toothless, racist inbreeds.

My two younger brothers are on the USM squad. They lost a big piece with Brailey getting hurt, but have filled that hole well.

But seriously, there is a good chance that almost 1/4 of the host sites will be in Mississippi(unless the NCAA and Caitlin Jenner won't allow it, google HB1523 and NCAA).
Serious question to Alabama folks, with as much baseball talent as there is in the surrounding areas, why do Auburn and Bama usually suck so bad at baseball? Obviously they have both had their years here and there, but usually they are both subpar. I know football reigns supreme, but Alabama has a ridiculous amount of young baseball talent. Why doesn't it translate to college ball?

I saw that, didn't he have double digit HRs before the injury? Tough break for them, but if they take care of business the rest of the way through the CUSA they should be a host.
Actually I could see LSU being the 2 seed there, would be an awesome draw for the Tigahs.

Come on now, at least look up records before posting.
Let me help you out

The Crimson Tide have also had over sixty players make it to the major leagues, the most in the SEC.[4]
Damn, I hate taking up for the Gumps

Point taken. However, I don't see a single date in your post in the 21st century.
ETA: That's a pretty impressive history though.

The only thing impressive about it is that those 3 schools managed to convince over 2/3rds of their rosters to come from out of state and play baseball in Mississippi.

So are:
SC
clemson
Coastal Carolina
We have 3 as well in the state of SC, but just not as many shoeless and toothless people.

Mississippi will probably not get 3 host sites.
Southern Miss, right now has an RPI of 19 according to warrennolan.com.
State and Ole Miss are very likely. Southern will be on the outside looking in. I would imagine though, if LSU were to host they would be sent there or Tallahassee. They won't have to travel far.

Finally.
A thread about Mississippi that is NOT about cheating.

LSU is not a very good ball club. Lange is all they got. They get their ranking because of their history.

Their RPI has nothing to do with history.
Point being, Southern will likely get sent some place close as a 2 seed. Tallahassee, Oxford, Starkville, Louisville, something like that. Less likely they get sent to a national seed host site though.
I would imagine the NCAA will try to limit the host sites in the same state this year to two, because right now, there is no way around most of the host sites being from the SEC and ACC. Teams in the Pac12 are just bad this year.
Utah is 4 games under .500 overall and is 2nd in their league. This is where the big problem lies for the committee this season. Overall, the Pac12 and Big 12 are just flat out bad at baseball this season. While you would think that would open doors, I think it will allow someone less deserving to host a regional, while some teams(Southern Miss)will get left out and be on the road for regionals.
