The actual funny thing is that you can't name one DL off of Oregon....have never played them...yet you are an expert on the Oregon DL. Fwiw, they had a pretty decent line last year...they are very quick.

LSU was 14th on the OL last year.

that's about right...they should be significantly improved this year....especially with Collins taking over in the starting lineup....and with hebert gone.....lot of experience on the OL this year, and Collins will be a great one as the top ranked lineman out of hs........

It should be another great one against bama...hoping lsu can make it 3 straight regular season. Here is what I don't get though...arky thinks it will be different this year....yet it is clear that LSU will be significantly better than the 2011 LSU team...or at least on offense....and at least as good on defense (I think the DL will be better...much better). To me...they have no chance against LSU or Bama.....none.

Didn't they pull in a converted LT who is now playing DT as a true frosh? I don't know how well that will go over but playing at that position starting as a frosh is usually bad news from a depth perspective

I don't know what they have I don't have a reason to know since LSU doesn't play them. At least I admit it. I would tend to agree with you. Hell, Anthony "freak" johnson at lsu last year didn't do a whole lot...and he was the #1 DL out of highschool. It is tough for a DL to play...as well as an OL...but tougher for DL

I'd actually take FSU's DL over LSU's.

Corndogs can flame all they want but I've watched those kids in person and I've obviously seen LSU play.

Jernigan, Dawkins, Goldman, Werner, Tank, Casher, Jenkins, Edwards...these kids are every bit as big and quick as anyone LSU has. I'd even take Goldman over Freak (don't let that rustle your jimmies too much). It's at least a tie IMO.

A&M's greatest hope this year is our OLine. Very few people got in our backfield last year and we have enough athletes at RB and WR to light up the scoreboard. The real question is the D, there is talent there but not enough depth.

Exactly

Yeah, because you have to be an expert on everything to have an opinion on it

wait until you play bama's and especially LSU's D this year.....they will live in your backfield and I guarantee you that you will not light up the scoreboard on them....not trying to flame....but the 2011/2012 LSU D is MUCH better than the one you saw in the Cotton Bowl a few years ago....and that one didn't do badly against you.

The problem with a team not having a strong D in the SEC is that teams like LSU/Bama will just pound the ball down your throat...ball control, wear you out......you will get far fewer possessions on offense...and the opposing defenses will be very fresh....you MUST have a defense to win big in the SEC...ask Arky.

I don't know that...and you don't either. They may be, they may not be....time will tell. One thing I do know is that the Oregon defense was a LOT better than the Arky defense last year....having faced both teams.

That list is flat fricking wrong about Auburn. Auburns group is young, but both talented and deep.

I just knew this was coming

You're right VC. We sucked so bad last year. LSU made us their bitch. Oregon had an infinitely better defense than Arkansas.... in fact, every team had an infinitely better defense than Arkansas. If we only played in the Little 12... then we might have a chance at a championship

Feel better now?

Oregon was a lot quicker on defense....people underestimate them....they did a good job against Auburn the year before also.....

false....not sure if you saw ole miss and a&m play last year...(I'm assuming you did, since you played them both)....they were infinitely much worse than you on defense.

You have three new starters? No way you're going to be on there. Alabama isn't going to be on there next year with four new starters. It won't matter how we've produced in the past. Youth and inexperience rarely make a OL list. It's the one unit that has to have experience and continuity to excel.

Not every SEC defense is LSU or Bama. Also, our OL when we played you in 2010 was not near what we have this year. We had two true freshmen at OT (our all-americans this year), and it wasn't like y'all shut us down in the Cotton Bowl, we scored 24... we just couldn't stop your running game.
