Take away Bo's three picks and we beat the Boise by 40 points. See hypotheticals are fun!

USM is dead. Ding dong, the Mustard Buzzards are dead.

But it had to happen. As long as USM was competitive and going to New Orleans Bowls and Hawaii Bowls, they were an option for some recruits. Guys like Alford who would had the talent would have to work hard to break the 2 deep at State or Ole Miss, and he could be the BMOC in Hattiesburg.

Alabama and Auburn don't have that problem. Sure, some of their smaller colleges are competitive, but I highly doubt someone says "Starting at South Alabama is better than sitting the bench at Alabama or Auburn."

Players in the state of Mississippi have to grow up cheering for State or Ole Miss. If we lose a big time in-state recruit, I'd rather them go to Ole Miss than Alabama or LSU. Ole Miss fans need to see it the same way. We have to build a generation of Bulldogs and Rebels, not a bunch of "me" guys that ride the bandwagon of whatever team is doing well.

Very few kids escape the state dating back to 09. Really impressive to see.

You can see it that way, but I don't.

I hope y'all lose every single game y'all play, but that's just me.

Nothing personal, I just don't like y'all.

When we lose a recruit to Ole Miss I just thank the kid by sending him anonymous racist tweets.

All kidding aside, we know Ole Miss has a solid team this year. Whether you are truly top 10 level we will know soon enough. And as has been observed, while Alabama looks like we may be an elite team, there are still questions.

Agreed. Like State this weekend it's our first real test. Freeze needs to not get embarrassed again by Smart and Saban.

Nope.

At least according to my post history I didn't.

So you have a 2nd half win against a team that went to 3 OTs with Kentucky. Great job. Ole Miss is much better than Florida.

I keep seeing Florida being brought up, who the frick has Ole Miss beaten?

"Oh you guys beats Florida?! Well we're better than Florida so that means we're going to beat y'all!!1!"

We have Saban, you do not. Saban at Bama doesn't lose to ole miss. Ole miss loses to Saban at bama. Hope in one hand, shite in the other, and then give yourself a high five. There's a reason bama will be a touchdown favorite on the road, we're that much better than Ole Miss. Deal with it. You are not an elite program and you never will be. Take solace in the fact that you'll likely take two in a row against lsu, but do not get your hopes up and think you're going to come out with a win against Alabama, or you're gonna have a bad time.
