JFF probably is the greatest QB all all time statistically but like Matt Stafford who in one season had A.J. Green, Moreno and MoMass on the same offense, had an insufficient supporting cast on defense to win a championship.

And the usual suspects make their usual, sad, comments.
I'll never understand it ... but whatever.
Thanks for posting, Hugo.

Give em hell, Johnny.

You understand it fine. It's transparent flame narrative to which the proponents are fiercely dedicated. Nothing more and nothing less.

That's the head scratcher--the "flame narrative."
What's the point (rhetorical question)?
Instead of a simple, "man--that kid can ball," the whiners have to trumpet a chorus of, "but, but, but ....."
It's one of those deals where some people can't feel ok about themselves unless they're dragging down those around em.

It's noon. Time for a drink.

the kid can play ball, period. can't imagine him with a defense. he was a game changer and a threat to score anywhere and anytime he was on the field.

If that if the case I prefer to look back a few years than to the 60's like an Ole Miss fan has to do.

Or look to never if they want to savor a win over A&M.

Standard ULSU fan comments up in this thread. Herp derp I can only name QB's and spit out scores. Ask me anything beyond that and I'm clueless.

Some people in this game forget football is a team sport and try to credit national championships to players single handily bringing them there. LOL

2nd best college QB I've ever seen.

Newton was the best. Cam didn't have to air it out to come from behind in every game or he would've had as good or better stats.

Glad they are both gone.

I see a disturbing lack of stats vs a certain divisional rival here...

Congrats on your Super Bowl win. Too bad your team didn't have the same fight in them against Ole Miss.

You don't understand The Rant. It's full of assholes, like me.

In 2-3 years, we'll be talking about some Ole Miss QB or some Carolina QB as being the GOAT, and everybody on here will sing JFF's praises. You'll see 25-page threads with about 80% of the posters saying "JFF, and it's not even close." Why?

Because this forum is full of cocksucking trolls and arse clowns.

So, for now, just do what I do and say....

frick EACH AND EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU frickTARDS. NUMBERS DON'T LIE. NOBODY IS AS GOOD AS JFF. EAT A SCAB-COVERED DICK!!!

...and frick LSU.

I understand it.
I just choose to take a "life's too short to live it as a jackass" approach.
The days go by too damn fast.
But that's just me.
I'm old.

Posted this the other day:

People on here have used terms like Consistent when describing Cam. He had some below average games that year.

The Alabama game alone, known for the comeback, Should be just as known as an incredible second half defensive performance.

Johnny was just 1 more stop away from winning all but 1 of his games in college. (26 Games)

To say that he has to win games by scoring 50 or more a game is pretty unfair.

Cam won games with the following scores:
17 - 14 MSU
27 - 24 OT vs. Clem
24 - 17 LSU
28 - 27 Alabama
22 - 19 Oregon

Cam won five games while scoring less than 30 points.
Johnny's offense had 5 games over two seasons which his team didn't score 30. They won 1 of them.

The A&M defense only held teams to less than 28 points 2 times in 2013.

A&M scored less than 40 2 times in 2013

A&M lost 2 games that scored more than 40 in 2013.

Using won / loss record to determine QB success is a dumb metric when there is an entire half of a game he had absolutely no input on.
