Bama ignorance. The reason Bama fan feels this way is because Auburn has a winning record in Tuscaloosa and a winning record in Auburn.
This is the 30 years since the first time Bama played in Auburn. Bama said they would stop the rivalry instead of letting Auburn play our home games in Auburn. They petitioned the SEC to get involved, the SEC said we had the right to play our home games where we wanted. Curry said there were death threats.
Bottom line Bama played all of their big games in Bham, the game was no longer a spit ticket game. Also look at Bryant Denny stadium now and compare to legion field. Easy decision.
