But .... I thought the greatest series ever was A&M at Florida earlier?
Do you mean to tell us that there are more than one greatest series ever during the course of a baseball season in the SEC?

lulz ... I know, now that you mention it, that's what he called it.
Well, maybe, if we're lucky, when A&M comes to Founders Park he'll come back and claim it's the Series of the Century!
Oh boy! Just imagine how great that would be!

#1 vs #1 already happened.

Yeah in 2011. When we beat Florida 2/3 to win our second CWS title in a row
Maybe A&M will get there some day

Are we talking #1 vs #1 in two of the various polls?
Or are we talking #1 in the East vs #1 in the West ... because that's happened a lot through the years, especially between SCAR and LSU.
I'm confused as to what constitutes a #1 vs #1?
You do realize Farmer friend, that in college baseball, no polls really matter until mid-May.

I am pretty sure that Series of the Century had an *.

I think the only way a series of the century can happen is if LSU and South Carolina are the ones playing.
Nobody gives a frick about two teams that haven't won a championship squaring off in March.
It would have to be two storied programs (LSU and SC) in a crazy series where both teams are at the top.

Florida sweeeps.
South Carolina has't been able to hit quality pitching as shown in their series losses vs Vandy and Georgia.
Florida's staff is better than both of them.

Unlike MSU, we don't lose often at home.

Unlike MSU, you haven't played anyone other than Vandy that is worth a crap and luckily don't get MSU and LSU this year on your schedule. Sweeping last place things is nice but try winning a series vs a good team.

Yeah, we're lucky we didn't get MSUjr on our schedule

I am just happy my 3-4 week old thread title has yall still talking about it. It means it worked.

Bruh that's how the rant works. Nothing is forgotten.

Wishful thinking or do you really believe that?
It would certainly be historic ... I cannot remember the last time we were swept at home.

Ole Miss doesn't have quality pitching?
Mizzou? I thought Mizzou's pitching was pretty good - or at least that's what everyone has been saying.
I don't suppose SCAR being on the road against Vandy and Georgia could have played into those two series losses in the least little bit perhaps ... could it have? I mean, being on the road and all.

Should be a good test for the Gamecocks. I just hope we do not get embarrassed I guess? Thank you in advance for the warning ... no sense in even wasting time going to, or even watching, the games this weekend.

No worries ... it's all good. Most of us thought it was cute. We're happy for you Aggie fans - it's good to have y'all as excited about baseball as the rest of us always are this time of the season ... well, errrr, most of us anyways.
And thank you for all of your baseball updates and poll postings ... I look forward to see those every Monday. Saves me a ton of time.
Have another upvote!

If Puk, Faedo, and Shore are on, Yes I do believe it.
Look at the SEC teams that have beat Florida this year, MSU with Dakota Hudson 1st rounder in June, Georgia with Tyler a future 1st rounder and to State and UK when Puk didnt start. Take away those four losses Florida is 13-1 with their one loss by one run at UK.
Their pitching is filthy. I know USC has some good arms but none of they are guys popping mid/upper 90's for 7-8 innings
