When Mack Brown complained about him celebrating big win over them on NC home field. He said "I don't know what he is complaining about. I have won probably won more game= on that field than he has.

One of my favorites was oddly against us in 2001. We held a "blackout" game and they beat us like a drum to the tune of 54-17. After the game he said...
"I'm glad they all wore black. It was easier for our wide outs to see the ball."
I hated him at the time for saying but thought it was funny.

I've loved too hate that son of a bitch for 25 yrs, and now I'm gonna miss him. Best of luck to one of the greats.

Stephen Garcia shared a very similar quote here on Birmingham radio a few weeks ago.

After LSU upset them in 1997 our Defensive Coordinator was the toast of the country for his game plan against Spurrier's high powered offense.
The next year Florida beat us like a drum. In his post game press conference Spurrier says "Well I guess their Defensive Coordinator won't be running around again next summer giving clinics on how to stop us"
I'm gonna miss that man.....
