The get rid of Miles idiots in LSU's fanbase

Famous old saying:
I know every fan base has a very vocal idiot contingent, but I seriously can't get over this feeling that a sizeable chunk of LSU's fan base honestly want to see Les Miles run out of Baton Rouge.
There are two hyper elite coaches in college football right now, Meyer and Saban, that's it.
Behind them are a group of maybe 5-8 great coaches and Miles is in that group.
After that there's a big blob of about 100 good, ok, mediocre, bad, and terrible coaches.
Ok, so let's say these morons get their way and Miles is fired. What then? What are the odds that the next coach is better than Miles? What are the odds he's worse?
The vast majority of college head coaches fail, for lack of a better word. The vast majority never win a national title, never even win a conference title.
You're far, far more likely to end up with a Mike Shula or Derrick Dooley than you are with a Meyer or Saban.
Don't get me wrong, as an Alabama fan I'd love to see LSU fire Miles. LSU is one of the toughest games on our schedule every single year. Odds are the new guy would come in, not recruit as well, and LSU would fall off, fire him in 3-4 years, and repeat the cycle.
The whole, bring in a new coach, give him 3-4 years, be disappointed, fire him, hire a new guy, repeat. is a purgatory that many programs find themselves trapped in, sometimes for decades. This is not a place you want to go flippantly.

Sounds like a few want a mulligan. Maybe they really just want Miles out sooner rather than later.

LSU fans who want miles gone are the kind that can't hold an intellectual football conversation

Last time i checked there wasn't a championship winging coach out there waiting for the right opportunity ala Saban and Urban Meyers
There are exactly 2 Coaches with more than 1 national Championship coaching right now.

Every fanbase except Bama and Florida has had people calling for the coach's head this season. It's comical how much overreaction there is these days.

He's a good guy, but I've been a Miles "hater" for a while in the sense that I hate watching shitty management and underperformance... poor clock management, objectively poor decision making, some ridiculous gaffes.
He built up a reputation as being the Mad Hatter, but the reality is that he's actually too risk averse for my liking. Saban is risk averse but he's actually a defensive specialist, so Bama's defense will always be good. Miles is an OL specialist who has never had a first round OL taken. Today, in the presser he was asked about changing the approach vs. Bama in the future and he essentially said he wouldn't because of LSU nearly beating Bama in 2012 and 2014. To me, that's an idiotic way of viewing things and is emblematic of his entire ethos dating back to his days of fawning over Bo.
I don't think any reasonable fan would try to justify firing him, but it's fair to say he's a slightly above average coach that lucked out into walking into a program that is inherently superior now to all but about 5 or so teams in the country in terms of resources.

Be careful what you wish for... you could end up with Butch: a below average coach who holds a losing record against Derek Dooley that's only good for 6-7 wins per year (unless Mizzou, SC and UGA have complete abysmal years).

If you could though behind the scenes try to gauge the interest of say Gary Patterson. As aBama fan would you rather face a Miles led LSU team or someone like Patterson?

I don't want a coach who went 4-8 in their 13th year at a program

If there was a coach that I thought we could actually get, who also could actually beat Saban regularly within say, three years, I'd say go for it.
But that guy doesn't exist right now. So being still in the game at the end every couple years is going to be the best we can hope for. Honestly, had they not got the mulligan, we wouldn't even be talking about this.

If Miles were replaced, there is a much greater chance that the next coach or coaches would be less successful than he's been.
