they also dispute the official UGA-UF series record, claiming one of the games in the early 1900s didn't count.
Yep, looks like a pattern.

Florida, this will all be a distant memory once the NCAA comes down on us and we have to forfeit every game we have ever won in history and they make us take down our Co-Champs banner.
Now THERE'S some upvote bait.
I regret that I have but one to give.

4 smaller schools combined in 1905 to make the University of Florida. UF fielded its first team in 1906. UGA and FSU claim a victory over Florida Agricultural College (one of the 4 smaller schools)

Was it the only one of the 4 schools with a football team?

The South Florida Military College in Bartow, to my knowledge, did not. (I graduated from this school, it's now Bartow High School)
The St. Petersburg Normal and Industrial School Did not either
East Florida Seminary, in Gainesville, did play football:
Sports
Colors: Black and Orange (The orange has become part of the University of Florida colors).
EFS played both football and baseball. The Tampa Tribune shows that East Florida Seminary played football from 1902 through 1904, the last year. After defeating Stetson, the 1902 team claimed to be "champions of the state."

Well no shite; you have a trend of not showing up for games apparently dating back to the very first attempt.
