Of course Ole Miss has a chance to win the game

Thank you for at least saying this.

many Ole Miss fans seem to think they are going to beat LSU because they "kept it close last year," which is fricking retarded.

The logic behind this is that it's believed we will be better this year because we have everyone coming back and LSU lost a lot of good players (Yes i know there are talented players that will fill those holes) plus the game is in Oxford. That's why so many Ole Miss fans like our chances.

Yeah and Ole Miss fans should like their chances but to say they have any better than a 50/50 shot is a bit much. I have seen a TON of Ole Miss fans on here (not you) claim that Ole Miss wins the game easily.

exactly. nobody is saying you have no chance at all. But take a step back, you went 7-6 last year and "didn't get blown out last time" isn't a good reason nor is the extremely flawed belief that many seem to have that we lost a lot more than we really did.

Yeah well you singled the LSU game out as more winable than Texas which is laughable.

I'd like to see us pull an upset against (in no particular order) either UGA, USC, or UF. I think BAMA is too far ahead of us right now to even consider but would love to see it.

I agree and that goes for either fan base. 2011 is the only time I can remember LSU really crushing Ole Miss, but they did that to a lot of teams that year.

have to beat your sec west opponents first so the winner of the A&M/Bama game is the #1 priority. The loser is #2. UGA or Florida #3

They beat us by 30 and put 66 on us in our house last year and we're playing them in Austin this year.
We played and matched up better with LSU plus the game is in Oxford.
Yeah, I like our chances against LSU more than I do Texas this year. If I'm wrong at the end of the year, I'll eat my crow.

neither of those things mean anything.

DKR is a very tame environment btw.

Trust me as someone who lives in Austin and sees a good bit of Texas Football, our team is A LOT better than theirs.

Sorry, I meant A&M who everyone is slobbering over.

We're tied with Alabama. The point stands.

Went to my first game at DKR, which turned out to be our last trip to Austin in the forseeable future(we stomped them), and I was amazed how quiet it was. The jumbotron was begging people to be loud and it wasn't working. So strange that they've let a culture like that exist. Norman was never anywhere close to being as loud as Kyle Field, and since tu's stadium was so much bigger I expected something in between what the Aggies presented and the Sooners. Truth be told the Okies blow them out of the water.
