Who gives a frick about basketball

We use to sell out our huge arena all the time when we was just NIT level good. Frank Martin will continue to build us up and I suspect a bubble team type year will be in store for us. Attendance will probably be around 10-14,000 on average. But in 2015 is when we will be selling out. So obviously we care about basketball.

He's UF alumni, won a Heisman at UF, coached and won a MNC at UF .... Ihe'll always be associated with UF. But he may be one of the few who is mentioned in the same breath with two schools.

IF, Y'all keep these staffs together, especially your football staff, your future is very bright.

Thank you. You're not a stupid face at all for noting that particular strength of ours - to the contrary, it is a rather astute observation.

Our baseball head coach staff is very strong and well known.

Our basketball head coach and staff is very strong and well known.

Our women's basketball head coach is a living legend ... the only woman to ever have a Nike shoe named after her.

Everyone knows our current football coach and his staff - We hired Holtz fifteen years ago, Spurrier ten years ago ... whoever comes next will want to be here. He will come from within.

But our other sports ...

Our new tennis and golf coaches, our women's soccer coach, our new volleyball coach and the list goes on and on. These new hires are what's been amazing. We are hiring some of the top young talent in the country whenever we fill a position these days.

I heard a remarkable number the other day. I forget where I heard it, somewhere at the beach.

Our current operating budget is something like $94 million. Of that $94 million, over one third of it is now going to coaches' salaries.

I like that, I like that a lot. Because until just recently we never committed that kind of investment to hiring big time coaches.

Now we are and I suspect it is going to pay huge dividends in the long run. So, in response to your observation, a good one at that .... yes, we should be able to keep these staffs whole for the most part. We're going to lose some assistants to head coaching jobs, everyone does, but we're paying these coaches to stick around and build these days and I think that's the number one thing we're doing along with facility improvements right now.
