It was credited as a run (lateral), so a drop could have been picked up. I doubt that would have happened. They had film on Florida's aggressiveness on the end (Hargraves). The kicker said postgame that he could have checked out of it, but they had the look they needed to try it.

You're crazy man. Who could actually believe Les gameplanned that fake perfectly? It's pretty obvious he just winged it in the heat of the moment and drew it up on a white board during the 3rd down.

It was not 4th and goal and the first down was there...but again, 7 is more than 4 and probably decided the game given it meant UF had to score a TD.

This play was actually easy. See 2010 UF game fake fg BOUNCE lateral to see a difficult play to pull off.

Well, that obvious missed pass interference call was obviously missed right before the kick in a VERY OBVIOUS botched call. People can say whatever they want to say, but it should have been 1st and goal at the 5

Exactly. Domingue said post game he saw the look (defensively) they wanted & had seen in game film. CLM said that they put it in just this week for this game. Of course, CLM may have forgotten Chavis was no longer coaching the defense & felt he needed every point he could get?

I told my nephew in the stands, that after the TE screen that failed, a fake FG would be called. Plenty of time left on the clock and Florida would never expect it, given the yards needed to gain a first down.
I didn't know how the play would be executed, but it was a great call.
