The only time I have ever noticed a girl's earings was in college (early 90s) when I picked up one of those chicks that had an earing in the top of her ear - like through the cartilage. I had this thought that since she had that earing she probably took it in the a. She didn't, so I totally quit using earrings as any kind of qualifier.
