The end-of-game jackassery didn't cost UT the win

The 2 plays that cost UT the win were:
1. On 4th and less than 1 they handed the ball off 4 yards deep and LSU's DL got penetration and stopped it...this should have been expected. The only way a run gets that for UT is if they can get a RB around the edge or a sneak. Should have ran a sneak IMO.
2. When LSU had 4th and 14, why did UT not bring pressure? That was as bad of a call as any the entire weekend. UT had been getting great pressure in the 3rd and 4th quarters and called off the dogs at exactly the wrong time.
I think UT fans may be focusing too much on the final snap(s).

Unlike some bonehead fans who can only find pleasure in watching their own team; I enjoy all college football.

Tennessee beat us in every aspect of the game. Our special teams didn't do shite. Our defense couldn't stop them when it counted, and our offense... SUCKS BALLS!!!
I feel horrible for UT, they won that game and we should be embarrassed the way we won it.

Seems pretty obvious to me that T&C1234 is a hastely put together alter for a Vol fan.

We had a big edge in total yards (400+ to 200+) We basically shot ourselves in this game with the penalties and turnovers.
LSU: 4 turnovers
Tenn: 0 turnovers
LSU: 9 penalties 54 yds
Tenn: 3 penalties 10 yds

LSU beat Tennessee plain and simple. OUr defense played very well against some really good athletes and a solid qb. OUr defense came up with a heroic stop. JL and our offense make a final drive against heroic odds ( including coaching blunders). Ridley was a Force on the final play. It all came down to the final play. OUr RB got the 2 foot push against a bigger Tenn defensive player and won the game right there.

There also should've been an illegal shift called on the game's final play against La. State and possibly a penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct for throwing a helmet.

This, along with the fact our special team were anything but special. We turned the ball over and our defense did well, BUT ITS frickING TENNESSEE. Given that we still didn't stop big plays when we needed to, i.e. Hunters big pass play and the big 20 yard run after that.

With all due respet there buddy,a coach with half a brain on the sideline for LSU and it's not close.

It's ironic the Tenn played almost error-free FB for the whole game. Then made a stupid error to lose on the last play.
The closest thing I've seen to that was when Ark beat LSU a few years ago with ZERO turnovers and ZERO penalties.

The 2 things that cost us the game:
1. When we had the ball and there was 5 minutes left in the game, we were snapping it with 15-20 seconds on the clock. Dumb.
2. The #1 reason we lost the game is Jim Chaney tried to get cute. We run Poole for 8 yards on 1st down, the LSU d is tired, in LSU territory, and on 2nd and 2, instead of feeding Poole the ball 3 times to get 2 yards, we throw the GD ball, which should have been intercepted. Had we ran Poole, picked up another first down, then we aren't bitching about the clusterfrick at the end.

It was a correct no-call at the time because time expired. The game appeared to be over, and refs will not call a post-snap penalty on the offense on the last play when the play doesn't result in a score because the game is over at the that point. The no-call for the helmet is not reviewable. (Not to mention the Tennessee players running onto the field from the sidelines before the play was blown dead, some without helmets, or doesn't that count too?)
For the record, at the 37 sec. mark on the video on YouTube, there are at least 5 players and coaches from the Tennessee sideline already on the field between the 20 and 26 yardlines before Hebert's helmet comes off.

Volfan... Did you think the same thing last week when your QB threw a TD in OT to win the game??? Watch the highlights, he took his helment off on the field to celebrate!!!

The last play did cost the game. Game is over if they have 11 on the field.
