both are now pro bowlers Julio Jones and AJ Green. I'm still a Bama fan so I am going with Julio still.

The debate can stop. Barring significant injury, I think both will end of with HoF or near HoF careers.

Don't know why it needs to be a debate. Can't really go wrong with either.

Any sane person living outside of tuscaloosa knows the answer to your "debate". AJ Green has more receptions, more yards, and more touchdowns than Julio. Get a clue.

Julio averages 15 yards a catch....AJ 13.9

Julio averages a TD every 7.6 catches...AJ 8.6

Julio has 0 fumbles...AJ has 2

Julio > AJ. But it is close.

AJ is a more natural WR. Julio is a freak of nature athlete playing WR.

As for stats, Julio plays opposite Roddy White who has been one of the most productive WRs in the NFL over the last several seasons. AJ is the only decent WR on his team and gets targeted much more than Julio as a result.

If Julio didn't drop easy passes and get hurt a lot would say him so AJ..for now.

Julio Jones and AJ Green, at least in my opinion, are about equal. They both are the best wide receivers on their particular team.

Julio Jones also has an All-Pro WR in Roddy White and a future Hall of Fame TE in Tony Gonzalez that he shares receptions with.

AJ Green is the only decent receiver on his particular team.

This. While Julio is playing great , it's roddy white who draws the defenses #1 cb.

That's because AJ has been targeted a lot more than Jones. A.J. Green has been targeted 162 times which is second most in the NFL after Calvin Johnson. Julio has been targeted 122 times, 40 less than Jones. And Football Outsiders has Julio ranked as the 7th best WR in the NFL this year with A.J. being ranked 19th. It's ludicrous to say that A.J. is hands down better than Julio.

I understand that AJ Green is targeted more but he competes against the top corner and is doubled most of every game. The entire defensive gameplan is set to shut down the only option Cincy has, and that's AJ. Julio goes up against the scrub corner every game and is hardly ever double teamed.
While the defense is focused on Roddy and Tony, Julio just runs around in single coverage all game. It's really no comparison IMO. Julio is also 6th in the entire league for dropped passes. How in the world can you say that Julio Jones is better???
