And I'm sure this has been touched upon, but what if Arkansas beats LSU and the standings going into championship week look like 1) Alabama 2) Arkansas 3) LSU (assuming Alabama beats Auburn). And then, in the SEC Championship, Georgia pulls the shock of the century and beats Alabama in Atlanta. Then you'd have 1) Arkansas and 2) LSU left standing.

Two teams that didn't even win their division, let alone their conference, get picked to play for all the marbles in New Orleans. The BCS would implode from all the criticism and backlash.

If Arkansas beats LSU, I think Arkansas and LSU are ranked 1/2 and Arkansas goes to SECCG and plays LSU in re-match for BCSNC.

Arkansas in the SECCG gives Georgia the biggest chance of an upset Arkansas has a hell of an offense but not so much defense.

Bama needs to pull for LSU Friday - if Arky wins in a close game then Arky goes to the SECC and if they win play LSU for the BCS.

No, the ultimate meltdown will be if LSU wins out against Arkansas and Georgia, loses to Bama in the BCS Championship by three and the AP voters vote LSU #1 because they beat Bama at home on Nov. 5th.

Split national championship between two SEC teams.

A "We beat you in the BCS Championship game" vs "We beat you in the regular season at your place, won the West and the SEC Championship" argument.

The only people that will cry if LSU goes to the NC are people in Alabama.

Mandel said if LSU beats Arkansas, the season should just end.

We'll go ahead and beat a few more teams for your entertainment though.

I don't understand why you think it's a given Bama jumps LSU or that Arkansas would stay at #3. LSU staying ahead of Bama and Arkansas jumping Bama makes a hell of a lot more sense than dropping LSU below Bama or keeping Arkansas at 3rd.

I agree except that it should end after LSU wins the SECCG.

If Arkansas beats LSU, there's no way Ark can stay 3rd. No way.

NO way.

This would be the only way 3 SEC teams would get in the BCS. UGA would play in the Sugar.

Then you would have the only scenario that allows 3 teams from a conference into the BCS. Hogs and Tigers in the BCSNC and Bulldogs in the Sugar bowl.
