Also Miles inherited a 4 loss LSU team. Not some great powerhouse. Saban finished in the top 10 once at LSU. Once. This notion that LSU was an elite program is false. Saban lost ATLEAST 3 games EVERY YEAR , But ONCE , while at LSU.

Shhhhh! Those facts don't fit the popular narrative that Saban was perfect at LSU and Miles is a baboon that couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper bag

You think Miles was taking a risk by throwing for 3 straight downs when Lsu needed to burn the clock in the Chicken Bowl? No, it was just downright stupidity on his part, not some riverboat gambler type shite. He's not a savant, he's just a dumbass.

You're an idiot. Had Miles ran three time into a ten man front , you'd be dogging him for that. He called a perfect play on second down and Mett missed on a throw that my son can make.

Finally, did Miles build LSU to what it is today? Not really. But he has most definitely sustained the machine, which I think is harder.

There is no question. It's common knowledge , among coaches , that SUSTAINING AN ELITE PROGRAM is far harder than building one. Meyer and Saban even said so after the BCSCG this year.

Gotta admit it's pretty close though, escpecially after that Chick-Fil-A meltdown.

What? You are stupid. A 10-3 year is NO WHERE NEAR A 4-7 dumpster fire. We finished 2 nd in the west , WHICH BY THE WAY IS THE SAME POSITION THAT ARKY FANS WANT TO BLOW Petrino for. Get a clue

Arkansas never recruits well, yet by some miracle we don't have a problem beating Lsu. Funny, you would think with all your top 5 recruiting classes you guys would blow us out every time. Must be the coaching.

What? LSU has won 7 of 10 from your bottom tier SEC school. Arky could win the next 15 years straight AND NOT BE .500 against LSU.

But then 2008 & 2009 showed that he definitely was winning with "Nick's recruits." He got a little lazy perhaps. But then he struck upon his most brilliant idea as a coach: making BAMA the enemy. He started calling BAMA the "m'fing Tide"

this happened signing day 2007 when we got phelon and siddell. national title a lil less than a year later. so your timing on his making bama the big bad is a little off. i think once saban got to bama that's when he started all that shite.

I just think its laughable for SEC rant posters to dog Miles for losing Atleast a game a year, when the best coach in all of CFB , and maybe top 5 ever, loses ATLEAST A GAME A YEAR. Hell in 2010 Saban had one of the most talented teams , EVER , and lost 3 games. Saban had the entire 2011 defense , a senior qb ( who already had a title) , a heisman winning rb, a first rd wr and a first rd de and lost 3 games. It's hard to go undefeated in the west. Especially when you're considered one the best programs and every single conference opponent wants to prove something by winning the game.

Very few coaches have the ability to sustain a program at an elite status.

I think its ridiculous for LSU posters to dog their own coach for losing at least a game a year. Damn dude, your own fans trash Les more than any rival fan.

So if the best coach in all of CFB always loses a game, why is it horrible for miles to lose two games?

He probably took that risk based on the Alabama game when he ran the ball three straight times didn't get the 1st, giving Bama the ball whereby they went down the field on their fateful last drive. He was an idiot for running the ball against Bama and an idiot for passing the ball against Clemson.

RE: Auburn, Ole Miss, and Arky in 2012.

We crushed those teams in 2011. The 2012 team was up and down. We were pretty young on offense, experience-wise. We played up to better competition and down to worse competition.

So frankly, I reject your premise. LSU is built to win championships, period, not to beat a specific team.

The issue is and always will be... with Miles at LSU...the team on 11/3 was good enough to be Nat Champ but not on most Saturdays last fall or any other fall.

They drew Bama on 11/3 and another year has rolled bye...
