Why don't you write up a schedule for 2012 and 2013 for all the teams that you think is fair and I'll point out all the holes in it using your way of thinking.

Mizzou should have played Arkansas and not Bama in 2012. Look at this board, that's a budding rivalry. Why delay it? Why take off the premier cross division game (based on known pre season expectations) unless someone(s) were being protected?

A&M already played their two most natural "new" rivals in LSU and Arkansas. Mizzou should have played A&M and Arkansas.

Why delay it? Why rush it? They are only going to play each other once every what? 6 years?

Although I do think it would have been cool for them to be permanent cross divisional rivals, but that would make SC and A&M have a long way to go every year.

Mizzou and Arkansas will be perm opponents eventually, correct? And will A&M and USC.

I could be wrong, but I thought that was the eventual plan and A&M and Mizzou will no longer be paired up.

Why didnt you add UGA this year? You were still supposed to be playing them by the all important previous rotation? Then yall sit here and say that yall are going to add UGA next year even further deviating from the previous rotation. So which is it.

Like I said, it's mathematically impossible to keep it exactly the same. If we play UGA next year, and USC in 2015 it will be close.

They are actually doing a pretty good job of keeping close while switching from old to new.

No, the rant talked about it alot, I don't know if the SEC ever did or not. But USC is keeping arky and A&M is keeping Mizzou.

Well shite, that's cool. Didn't know that, thought that was just a rant dream.

I don't know why they didn't play them then. Could have been for a lot of reasons. OOC scheduling issues perhaps.

So, insert conspiracy theory that Bama had UGA taken off schedule for Mizzou to be favorable.

wouldn't they have just changed the permanents and still had the rotating spot?

So to sum up this and all schedule threads in general: in SEC official determined schedules stated to have no "past or future bearing" Bama greatly benefitted by having its schedule altered and LSU was greatly hindered by not having its schedule altered.

Whatever the intention Bama got its rotation altered and it was extremely advantageous.

he asked for scheduling alternative that would be more balanced. I say Mizzou plays Arkansas instead of Bama. So Mizzou's games are Arkansas and A&M. Bama plays Georgia.

That wouldn't be fair either. Forcing Arky to play a mediocre Mizzou team instead of the horrible UK team they were due to face. Also, who would've been UK's rotating cross-division opponent since you took Arky away from them?

UK is paired with Mississippi State. Arky is with USC.

Things change quickly, you can't base or judge what a team will be like next year based on what they were like last year, especially before you've played this year.

Yes you can. It's rare that a team loses to ulm then goes undefeated. When Bama did that , it was against the norm.

Yes, Bama was supposed to play UGA in '12 but someone had to play Muzzou. We were due to add UK in '13 going by the old rotation.

For the 1 millionth time. It's not about who LSU plays. IT'S ABOUT WHO BAMA HASN'T PLAYED.
