Good point. If you are going to go all the way to Montgomery, just keep going for another 40 minutes and stay in auburn

Open to suggestions here.

The reason we were looking elsewhere was because we didn't think anything would be available at a reasonable price during that time frame.

Has a great DT entertainment area and hotels.
Spent a weekend in Montgomery this Spring for a baseball tourney. We were very impressed with the downtown area around the Biscuit's stadium. I wouldn't have any problems staying downtown and walking to some good restaurants and bars.

I'll be there as well. Auburn and MSU were the only SECW teams I didn't have much disdain for last year and I went to Starkville and that changed, so I'm looking to cross Auburn off the list as well this year

There are always cancellations. Id call around town first, go up to exit 58 on 85(tiger town) as well.
Ive never not been able to find a place to stay, and we usually stay in the conference center(probably out of your reasonable range)

Yeah, Starkville is a little... bland.

Me and a crew of 8 went 2 years ago. Tickets were about $80 a pop but all 8 were together

They had the bulldog bash the night before so the cotton district was fun. I was referring to the incident where they had a fan come to the LSU section and start a fight. Then security started kicking out only LSU fans and acting like we just had to be the sole troublemakers. Clearly we picked the dude up and carried him to our section. They were too smart to be fooled by that tactic though.

Rent an RV.
I am not really joking either. If you don't mind staying in an RV with 2 others, you get to park on campus and walk everywhere. It would be worth it and a badass roadtrip.

Hotels can be tough to come by, but look in TigerTown area. It's in Opelika, but there are tons of shuttles and what not on game day.
Montgomery is fricking awful.
Another option is to get on VRBO or something and rent a house on Lake Martin, can be done very cheaply and you're 30 minutes away. Only problem is getting back if you're shithoused/don't have a driver (but that's going to be a problem if you stay anywhere outside of Auburn)

Pity the fool who stays in Tuscaloser for an Auburn game!
WTF??? a million better choices. Try VRBO around Auburn and enjoy the local color. Any hotel along I-85 is a better choice than ttown
