That's ours now.

Mine has to be the fringe sidewalk fan base that gives a lot of us a terrible name.

Plus our basketball program seems to be stuck at mediocre.

They aren't welcome to BoT meetings, booster events or anything closely related. The Bobby Lowder College of Business just got bought out by another big time donor. McGregor hasn't been seen or heard from in years. They're both broke now.

1. Basketball - FIRE GRANT!
2. Baseball - The Joe is getting a facelift and will be one of the nicest in the SEC. Had 2 disappointing seasons but Bama baseball will be turning some heads this season. bookmark it.

It's not like your erector set is in the league of Neyland's former facade..

Though it does need addressing.

If Milton and Bobby were still heavily involved, we might have a pretty exterior.

Coleman Coliseum and the lack of invesment in the basketball program (relatively). It could be a revenue-winner (still may be, but only slightly) and would have tremendous support if the right pieces were in place.

It was never the Bobby Lowder College of Business. It was unamed and recently renamed for Raymond Harbert who game 40 million to the school. The Lowder name was on the building and it still is.

I saw him at the Iron Bowl

Just frick no. Lowder lost a shite ton with Colonial, but is still very very wealthy and is generous with his money.

Football, baseball and basketball seem in pretty good shape. I think Nikki needs to start earning that big paycheck though.

I think that a new arena and a coach worth what we pay Grant would return dividends within a decade. People talk shite about Alabamians not caring about basketball, but that's only because they haven't been great in a while. We have no pro teams to support, so any program that has a winning product will be greatly supported.

It was the Lowder school of Business, he had it named after his parents. Pretty sure I walked into that building every day for years. Just because Milton was at The Iron Bowl doesn't mean he is calling shots anymore and making $100 handshakes. I understand that Lowder still has some money, he just isn't influential in the program like he once was. In 2006 he was named the most influential booster in college football, now he just sends a check and sits in his box seats. I heard this first hand from Jon Waggoner the head lawyer at Auburn (special council to Jay Gouge).

The fact we still play at WMS.

Other complaint was our stadium not being a bowl, but that's being worked on as we speak.

The building was named for his parents, but the business school was Auburn University’s College of Business before Harbert made his donation. If you don't believe, go read Auburn's own press releases when it was renamed.

Noboby is saying he is calling the shots, but you said nobody has seen him for years, which is bullshite. He still has lots of friends there and I work with them everyday.

Again, I didn't say Lowder was as influential as he used to be. You said he was "broke" and it isn't even close to be right. Jon is being a bit disingenuous, because Lowder had a lot of well known and respected people pushing his agenda during the coaching search. Lowder doesn't use his old ways of doing things due to him not being on the BOT anymore; but he still has a good deal of influence, particularly on the political side.
