Seems like this thread was started to mask the butthurt that some fans have that they can only live through the success their players have in the NFL and not while they were playing for their team. Maybe it is the timing of this week and Bama being in the college playoffs.

Well, in his defense, he didn't have to go up against JULIO JONES!!!!

Poor Cam.

You misspelled Joe Namath, Kenny Stabler or Bart Starr

I've seen video of Namath, and McCarron reminds me of him to a great degree.

A decent amount of mobility coupled with a gunslinger mentality and a serviceable arm.

I would definitely say that McCarron is every bit as good as Namath was at this point in his career. Purely from a physical standpoint, they are almost identical.

I've read this thread 21 times and it makes zero sense to me.

Because you've seen a couple of videos of Nameth? Wasn't it pretty well known that Joe had a fricking hose?

He was a good, mobile QB before the hose.

Dear Mr. Uptodoublebogie.

I think you made a mistake and posted this thing on SECr... You were probably trying to post a snarky somewhere-over-the-rainbow fantasy comment on Tr under the "If only LSU had won the 1-9-12 NC game" along with all the other LSU fans who are still gnashing their teeth four years later.

If I am mistaken and you actually were trying to start a vapid line that doesn't move the troll needle much, excuse me for the mistake. In that case I had actually mistaken you for someone with half of a creative brain...Silly me...Your avatar and team affiliation should have clued me in.

Let's see...

First SEC team up, in the Texas Bowl against Texas Tech in a bad time slot on a nondescript Tuesday night, or...

The second game of the CFB Playoffs against Michigan State in prime time on New Years Eve with a chance to play for the 'ship in 12 days.

Yeah, so butthurt.
