Arkan...who? Wait, I know this one. SEC-W has Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and...huh. There's 14 teams in the SEC, so there have to be 7 in the SEC-W.
Oh, yes, I do recall another team. The place where WKU's coach took an entry-level position in order to work his way up?
But in all seriousness, congrats. Y'all haven't had much to cheer about lately, so it's good to be able to brag.

Can we get an update now that we are half way through the SEC Schedule? Are they doing better or worse that early in the year.

Congrats!! That BIG 10 offense is working out great!!! I'm sure leading the SEC in rushing gets you in a bowl game in Kazakhstan, Albania or somewhere. USA USA USA

I'm actually kind of curious too - AC3 has had some rough games, but he's still doing pretty well. Now - I know they haven't been scoring for shite, but I think they're still putting up yards (and against pretty stout teams).
He and Williams (combined) had over 100 yards against Alabama. Considering our passing game is abysmal, that says something about their talent.

No. It just says our starters were pulled early in the third quarter.

I wasn't going to split hairs
I think if we could have had the following positions shored up, we would have competed with you guys and probably kept it within 7:
QB 1
QB 2
WR
WR
TE
(Experienced Defensive Secondary along with backups)

And rightfully so seeing as to how the passing game is not worth a hoot.

When looking at total yards it is important to note that Collins has played 8 games while the others on this list have played 7.
ETA: Collins is still 3rd in yards per game though.

Very good point. Arkansas is on bye this week, so that should help with that variable.
If anything though, it serves as an "eye test". If I'm not mistaken, your week 8 rankings yesterday had him at #5, which given your analysis - is a pretty good ranking

Apparently, based on the most recent rushing numbers, the Razorbacks have gone to a more vertical passing game as they have been in high scoring shootouts* the last few weeks.
*Shootouts - last one with ball wins the game theory

quote:Yep. Gurley, Drake and maybe Scott are the only backs that have a real shot of knocking him off the list provided he stays healthy. He has had two solid games against great D's and some great games against poor defenses, but he still needs that big game against a quality defense to fully validate him by the numbers. He certainly passes the eye test though and he has 4 chances to have that great game as Arky plays 4 quality run defenses to finish the season.

Collins will be 5th in a few days since Arky will finally take a bye week.

Mason might have the elusive 500 yard game against the Arkansas defense.
No, like seriously.

Frazier is coming back to run the wildcat and end arounds for 200+

Nah, but the full AU rushing attack may get another 300 yard performance.
