so you scored 0 points on the only decent defense you've seen all year

interesting

And they're about to play a team that just shut out two SEC opponents, forcing 6 turnovers the previous game. Yep, nothing to be worried about.

I love it how these pass happy offenses think they just "had a bad day" and give no credit to the opposing defense.

Since it's such a good run defense, I'm guessing it did really well against UGA?

Georgia had 207 yards rushing against Arkansas. One reason, though was that Mason came out and hit several big passes early in the game to move Arkansas back off the ball. Mizzou will need to be able to throw the ball down field to back Arkansas off the LOS.

Mauck is a Jekyl/Hyde. there are times he amazes me with what he does with the ball....then there are times he looks totally lost. I am glad to be watching the game and not have my team involved directly in the game. Both teams have shown a large amount of improvement since playing us.

UGA rushed the ball against us 58 times for 210 yards. They still had 29 pass plays for a total of 87 plays because of our offensive struggles and turnovers.
YPC: 3.6

Versus Arkansas, UGA rushed for 207 yds on 39 carries.
YPC: 5.3

UGA's average YPC is 4.0.

It's not a foolproof way of looking at it and it's obivously not the only thing to consider. But our run defense is pretty good. It's not just us playing in the East.

I do think that your road graders versus our speed guys will make for an interesting matchup.

58 carries for 210 yards. 3.62 YPC. Compared to an average vs. all other teams of 6.56 YPC and 5.31 YPC against Arky.

Keep hanging your hat on that YPC stat. We don't give a shite what the YPC is, we want to run the ball 15 times a drive.

We average 178 ypg in rushing. 183 ypg passing. Not exactly "pass happy."

Georgia averaged 3.6 yards per carry against Mizzou. Georgia is averaging 5.5 YPC in SEC play. Chubb averaged 3.8 YPC against Mizzou. Chubb is averaging 6.7 YPC in conference play.

Georgia beat us in the same way you beat Ole Mississippi. A dominating defense that forced a bunch of turnovers led to a lopsided score. If Arkansas is +5 in turnovers Friday, they'll win.

A bit easier to stop the run when the opponent is blowing you out and you know they're just trying to run the clock out

What?

Where did anyone say nothing to worry about? We aren't "pass happy" either.

Must suck to just be capable of destroying someone, Missouri defense WILL destroy Arkansas. While a good kid I am sure and a pretty good player Trey Flowers cannot hold Marcus Golden or Shane Ray's jock. He would come off the bench if he went to Missouri. Bert wouldn't know a forward pass if one hit him in the head so we don't really have to fear it a whole lot, so I predict that we will routinely bring more than just the front 4 like we have most of the year.

Missouri has been hit or miss on offense this season.

I think they feel they've turned a corner because of the last 4 games, but they've played 3 of the worst defensive teams in the conference in the last few games.

Florida and Georgia both dominated Mizzou on defense (holding them below 150 yards in both games), the only difference between the games was that Georgia forced 5 Mizzou turnovers and beat them 34-0 and Florida GAVE AWAY 6 tunrovers (and two special teams TDs) and lost 42-13.

Bottom line, this game comes down to turnovers. If Arkansas turns the ball over, they will lose. If missouri turns the ball over, they will lose.

It's a shame Brandon Allen and Derby likely aren't playing.

That'd be contrary to the press conference today.

Brandon isn't practicing, but he's not eliminated from playing. AJ Derby is actually being talked about as an emergency quarterback, so is expected to be available Friday.
