which leaves you with Nashvill,Knoxville, Jackson, and gatlingburg. Nashville makes bad music and Jackson is like a small Memphis in regards to crime...Gatlingburg is cheesy and full of flapjacks..

Yes, FL has a huge Yankee population and Latino contingent. But FL’s contribution to Southern rock (Skynyrd, 38-Special, Outlaws, Allman Brothers, Dickie Betts, Blackfoot, Molly Hatchet) and country music (John Anderson, Bellamy Brothers, Slim Whitman, and others on which I’m unaware) alone makes it an indispensable part of the South. And not to mention gators everywhere and some cool swamps to boot.
