As a reward for schools like James Madison that deserve some recognition... it's not like being 25th matters for much anyway... does UCLA really need to be ranked just because they're from a Big 5 conference?

It’s a 1-n ranking system. It loses meaning if the #25 team isn’t the assessed 25th best team.

No no no. That practice would rapidly become as " flamboyant" as LSU having special numbers for magical players who might have magical accomplishment.
