I was deluded into thinking I could finally change my signature this season.

Mississippi State game:

4 1st quarter drives - 3 punts (1 3 and out), 1 TD
3 2nd quarter drives - all 3 and out
4 3rd quarter drives - 2 punts (1 3 and out), 1 TO, 1 missed FG
3 4th quarter drives - 2 TDs, 1 TO

14 drives, 3 scores, 2 turnovers. That's terrible offense

Ole Miss game:

3 1st quarter drives - 1 turnover on downs, 2 TDs
3 2nd quarter drives - 1 TD, 1 punt, 1 end of half
4 3rd quarter drives - 3 punts (2 3 and out), 1 turnover on downs
4 4th quarter drives - 2 3 and out, 1 TD, 1 turnover

14 drives, 4 scores, 1 turnover

A decent offense should score on HALF their drives, even it it's just a field goal, especially against a bad defense.

When your identity as a head coach is offense and your offense sucks, it's your fault.

Did y'all know Chavis went to A&M because they were gonna be badass at offense and his D could flourish?

3 TDs and 4TDs should be enough to beat Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

It's not great offense, but some of the blame lies on the defense as well. Hell, the Aggy D tried like hell to blow the Tenn game as well.

When you have 14 drives, you should score between 6-7 times.

I get that, but when you score 3 TDs against Miss St. and 4TDs against Ole Miss, you should win the game. This coming from a fan of a team that nearly lost to Miss St after giving up 20 points.

My point is, there is definitely blame that should fall on the Aggy D.

There is. However, when your career identity as a head coach is offense and your offense fails, you have no right to blame the defense.

You're second in the conference in Scoring Offense and 7th in Scoring Defense.

And dead last in Opponent First Downs.

Take out the 67 points vs. PVA&M and 52 vs. New Mexico State and you get 24.4 points per game.

Also, he thought his other boss might get fired and didn't want to be around when that happened.

Then he should leave now since his current boss is about to get fired.

Just wait for your bowl game prep. I know what Chief will be doing? I'll await the word from the pool boy of choice for the next gig.

Boy, that's going to sting when they bring Kings back into the fold to rev that offense back up.
