I expected Dormady and the O to give up after not being able to get anything going. They didn't. Given that was his first start and the only returning WR we had got injured early they showed more will to win than I thought possible. Wish this team's grit had been in last year's team.

Tenessee defense looked VERY tired late in the game but I tell you this, they dug down deep for that last play. They hit that line like the knew this was it. Much respect.

Vols fans should have walked out of that stadium with their hats in their hands. A win is not always a win when you look at the entire body of work we saw tonight. Tech is a decent team but not world beaters and they made Tenn defense look really bad. Techs defense is decent but not SEC caliber and they gave the orange all they could handle. Only a W in one respect, all others not.

I agree it was a nice win.
Respectable team from a P5 conference.
Lots of TV exposure for a program that has been down for a while.
Showed grit and determination. Passion to block that FG at the end of regulation.
I was cheering for tech because I always pull against the SEC except Auburn. But.........
Good job vols.

So we're supposed to be ashamed of that win? Some of you haters are so biased you think UCLA and Tennessee should be ashamed for digging themselves out of a giant hole in the last minutes of the game. How stupid is that?

Last year's team had grit too. Butch's teams aren't the most talented but they fight for 4th quarters and they they tend to win close games. I will give him that.

Ugh Yeah, I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with you there. The Vols hung in there and that says a lot for a team. Tech offense will make a lot of teams look bad from a rush defense standpoint.

I'm always happy with a win, especially if you pull it out of the fire. That said, if I'm a vol fan I am really worried at the apparent lack of team speed and talent. Granted, this doesn't look like a Dooley team but it also doesn't look to be a very talented team outside of a handful of players. I would say they look to be in the bottom third of the SEC, just my opinion.
