They're going to have to fire him. Peyton's all about the money. Always has been, always will be. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

He should retire, or his legacy will continue to nosedive.

It was a pleasure to watch him all the way from his high school days through the pros. One of the best I have ever seen. Just couldn't do better in the NFL playoffs is all.

Great NFL career. He can still go frick himself for leading the band in 97.

By that token Trent Dilfer is a better QB than Dan Marino. Like someone just said, football is a team game with 11 on each side. QBs get too much credit when the team wins and too much blame when the team loses. It's the nature of the sport. I don't see how anyone can argue that Peyton just playing the QB position is not one of the best ever. I've never see anyone orchestrate the QB position with the attention to detail and perfection like Peyton Manning has. We were all fortunate to have had the chance to watch him for nearly 20 years and it's going to be a damn shame for football fans when we no longer have The Sheriff slinging the rock around. One of the GOAT if not the GOAT and a class act off the field. If this is the end for him playing, then today the music truly died.

You can't spell "bounced out of the playoffs again" without Peyton.

Amazing how people perceive football as QB vs QB.

He won't have many opportunities left, but nobody I've heard is saying this will be his last game. If he can't get healthy in the offseason, that's a different story.

How can we forget? You've been feeding off of his UT salad days ever since.

He's lucky he faced Rex Grossman in the one super bowl he won. Otherwise his entire college and pro legacy would be without a championship. He will forever be remembered as Tom Brady's bitch.

Regardless that doesn't take away the appreciation that Manning deserves.
