He should have been fired in 2013. He fricked the football team bad with his disastrous financial and coaching hires from WM, zook, McElwain, refusing to improve the facilities because he didn't want to get into an arms race, giving WM an extension and letting him walk to Aub, Paying Mac's insane buyout and giving him a 6 yr deal right off the bat, etc.

Florida is a good academic school without ridiculous entrance requirements. It also lies in one of the most talent rich areas in the country for student athletes. It is a good situation.
Folley was OK but gets way too much credit. He hired Spurrier and Meyer but also Muschamps and Zook. Facilities are mediocre for SEC standards. He isn't all that he is cracked up to be.

He didn't hire SOS. SOS was already there when JF became AD. Machen played a big part in getting Meyer. Factor in the disastrous decision to hire a completely unproven HC in Mike White and the 10 yr deal to Sullivan with a $4.5M buyout to the list of wtf moves.
