Since Texas is the largest oil producing state in the country, and A&M has the largest oil and gas alumni in the country, it seems to me that when the LSU and Bama fan fill up their cars with $5.00 a gallon gas, they are funding A&M athletics.
Plenty of people are hurting right now, but not oil and gas barons. Poor states like Bama and Louisiana, that is a significant portion of their budget is paid toward gasoline each week. And a percentage of that is being filtered to the A&M oil and gas alumni, who then invest LSU and Bama's fans money into A&M athletics.
Although we sympathize with you paying higher gas prices, we appreciate your financial support to A&M athletics. It is incredibly generous of them to do that for A&M athletics.

If the unimaginable happens would anyone actually recognize any championships the Aggies might claim? Any title would come with a little $ sign beside it in the record books. Everyone knows what they are doing. This will not be allowed to continue. Either the NCAA or SEC will figure out something to stop it or the Georgia’s and Alabama’s of this world will start their own little NIL schemes. They have money too - lots of it- and if there are not going to be any rules or enforcement of the rules they will do whatever it takes to land the top recruits.
