It was a travesty how horrible the officiating was.

It is also a travesty how awful the team is in the last 3 minutes of the game.

Kikko getting that intentional foul

I like kikko and all but he fouls all the time and it's really fricking obvious. His intensity doesn't really help us when he's always putting people on the line

It never fails, every loss is on the refs. You people look like idiots every game. Our coach sucks and we can't get off anything with this offense. Yeah, that's on the refs

Oh well. Sad part is I saw us up 8 but knew that down the stretch nobody we have would step up when we needed a basket. Qualls with 1 point, stellar performance.

30 of Tenn's points came from the line. The refs being uneven on calls in the paint was the difference in this game. Arkansas outplayed Tennessee in every in-game aspect. We were in a position to win it despite the bias, but it was clearly the biggest factor. Tennessee had more turnovers, less assists, and only 5 more rebounds. But went to the line more than double what we did despite us attacking the hoop pretty much all night. You can't win when the refs give the home team a 20 point handicap.

Did you watch the game? The refs kept the vols in it. The hogs made sure to piss the rest away.

The refs impacted this game more than any should.

Yep.

Good game Tenner.

Maybe if we play this decent (pre the last few minutes) we can actually win a few on the road this season.

Thread title changes were awesome.

Winning on the road!
Not losing on the road!

...dammit. Oh well, it was a road game.

When we were losing I tried to put "at one point were winning on the road" but it wouldn't fit

Im not bashing Arkansas. That stat though, his record on the road, it is just plain sad and hilarious. We suffered through that same shite while he was at Mizzou. Man cant win on the road. Its his fatal flaw.

Most of the good Hog posters have my sympathies.

Yea like showing up on the road, forcing your will on the opposing team, getting to the rim, drawing fouls, crashing the boards, playing smart D, giving max effort, hustling after loose balls and actually trying to get a rebound.

eta: That's all you need to know about this squad. When your best player doesn't give a shite about losing and choking away an 8pt lead where he barely played in crunch time because he has no heart and can't will himself to make plays and go toe to toe and get it done.

Well, it's true that there were several blown calls by this 'all star officiating crew' as the announcers called them.

Not blaming the loss on them, but the richest damn conference in the country ought to be able to insist on and pay competent officials, in basketball AND football.

Yet we see Laurel and Hardy wearing stripes.
