If the SEC and ESPN hadn't rammed "SEC SEC" down peoples throats for the last 15 years this wouldn't happen.
The SEC is damn good and everyone knows it. But other leagues have always had good teams too

Was it ESPN or the fact that the SEC has won the national title 14 out of 22 years since 2000? And has the best bowl record over the same time span? Y'all act like it's just a narrative with no numbers behind it, when it isn't.

Did you read my post? I said the SEC was damn good.
The middle to bottom of the SEC every year is just like every other league. Their top team is often the best team in the country. No one is arguing that
Texas just went into the biggest dynasty in CFB and beat them by 2 possessions for the first time of Saban's tenure there. i know UGA is the king, but Bama is still "bama" and everyone talks about how they're going to be so good.
ESPN has pushed that narrative for years. I mean even during the Utah/Florida game they made some comment about how Florida is "an SEC defense". That SEC defense got gashed all over the field
