That's the Ags fall back line even though they won't read up on the legislature and money issues behind the gap of the Iron Bowl. That all time series lead by the Longhorns, yikes.

You guys had a legitimate rivalry and you walked away from it FOR 40 YEARS

And now you're trying to talk down to a school who walked away from a school that it didn't consider a rival

Jesus Christ they did a number on you guys. Can't even admit it's a rivalry yet the animosity amongst ags towards the horns is unrivaled

It's not looking much better against your newest "rival" LSU

I mean fricking really guys. Texas wasn't your rival. fricking awesome.

That is what they always told us in the Big 12. They loved saying OU was their only rivalry game.

Last 10 years (2007-2016): t.u. leads 3-2
Last 20 years (1997-2016): t.u leads 10-5
Last 30 years (1987-2016): t.u. leads 13-12
Last 40 years (1977-2016): t.u leads 18-17

My lifetime (1978-2017): Series is tied at 17

The manly thing to do would be grow a pair and face your 120 year history with the Longhorns.

The earliest a game could happen w/o having to buy out an already scheduled opponent is 2021. However, b/c A&M goes on the road to Colorado and Texas has a road game at Arkansas I highly doubt a deal can be reached b/c both teams are going to want to have at least 7 home games.

2022 probably doesn't work either. That year A&M is the "home" in the game at Cowboys Stadium vs Arkansas. That mean there are only 3 SEC home games. Since the last game was at Kyle Field Texas will surely demand that the series will begin anew in Austin. For them to travel to A&M they've have to pay off USF for a road game they have set up. Normally that wouldn't be too big a deal but it's the second game of a three game series. I doubt they will want to have to pay for two games to travel to College Station.

Just going year by year with the way A&M and Texas have already set up future contests I'd say 2026 is the first year there could be a realistic chance of the series starting back up. Of course that is also fully dependent on A&M and Arkansas no longer playing at JerryWorld every year. If that is still going on 2029 will be the earliest there are no conflicts. Neither side is going to go out of their way to start things back up.

Anytime sooner than that will have to be in a bowl. Knowing both sides and what all SEC/Big 12 bowls there are it will probably have to be an upper tier game like the Cotton. There is no chance in hell it would go down at the Liberty Bowl and the Texas Bowl just doesn't have the prestige.

Until 1984, Texas led the series 62-21.

Aggy then won 9 of 10 from 84-94.

From 1995 until now, Texas leads 12-5.

Total: 76-37, Texas

You got nothing from that 9 of 10 in the late 80s/early 90s, except two major probations and some grainy youtube clips.

There isn't a university in existence--had it been in Texas A&M's position--that would've turned down the SEC offer, simply to continue playing the horns each year.

In terms of competition, when the Aggies left the B12 for the SEC, they jumped out of a lukewarm toaster oven and into the firey pits of hell; so this "scared" stuff is brainless.

We should've stayed in the B12?
Ha.
Sounds like it's some of you who are a heckuva lot more tied to your rivals than is healthy for your university.

In less than 12 hours we have gone to 7 pages.

Living in the SEC's head rent free.

Meanwhile back to the point. Game will never be played as long as Deloss Dodds is still above room temperature.
