You think Chavis recruits?

No, but Sumlin is recruiting on Chavis's reputation.

So far they have lost Sheffield, Hill, Malik, and Boyd likely on Defense alone in their state....

How are they "lost" when none of those have been committed to us at any point? Mack I could understand.

Because that Big swinging Chavis dick is suppose to fricking bow to any Defensive recruit you want.

It's pretty fricking obvious that your 1.8 million has bought you nothing but lipstick thus far for your D.

Which will therefore boost LSU in recruiting considering the coach's pedigree of NFL talent comes from two schools with rich histories in NFL talent.

This won't last long, Ron Cooper, Corey Raymond, Earl Lane, Brick Haley were the big reasons guys went on to the NFL.

Who said that? Honestly if all his hiring means is Mack commits to us it was worth it.

Well yeah. It takes more than a month to recruit a defense.

Really? Daylon Mack makes year 1 recruiting a success.

Listen to yourself bro.

Ed Oregeron got to LSU on Jan 14th and likely will pull in 4 4 stars and 1 5 star in 3 fricking weeks.

Yeah Totally......I mean cause LSU never played D with Pelini, Muschamp, Reese, Arnsparger.

With all that money you would think Aggie would buy Cheer Boy a uniform that he could wear when he brought him home to meet Momma.

Hypothetically if Mack signed, you'd still need 4-5 Macks to even remotely be close to what Chavis "needs" to make you a top 10 D.

So its more of just a bandaid and a validation that the Chavis deal was worth if Mack signs with the Aggies; if Mack signs with Texas......you've essentially got a schematical coach lacking the proper football players for his scheme.

And I haven't even gotten into the holes at LB and DB.

So yes the 1st year of Chavis will be very intriguing.

How upset will the Aggie faithful be if Chavis has a top 80 D next year @ 1.8 million? Serious question

Sure, but I honestly don't expect a top 10 D once while Chavis is here. His days of cranking out those are over most probably. What I do expect is a top 30 defense within a few years. I think we can get there even without the same talent pool to draw from.

If Mack signs with Texas I will have to self ban for a month just to keep the vaginal splash off of yall. The real competition for him is TCU, which I understand they can really coach.

Which we are working on. Rome wasn't built in a day, and it will take a few classes to get halfway decent talent. Heck the talent more than the scheme got the last coach fired. We are fully aware of how thin we are on the defense. Hence how Chavis is worth the money if he gives us a shred of credibility on that side of the ball with recruits.

Not very honestly. As long as it is not a triple digit defense we will care more about the W/L record (mostly that the W side is 8 or higher). There are some Aggies that expect a return of the Wrecking Crew year two, but it is pretty obvious that as long we have the offense we do the defense will always be somewhat of a liability. Sumlin would have to pull a Spurrier and give up what got him this far to have a top 10 defense.

Honestly we didn't replace the entire staff, just one guy. Heck we replaced more coaches on the offensive side of the ball. That is our focus. If we have a top 80 offense next year I will want to kill someone.
