Did I miss something last year? Why do these aggies think Alabama is going to have such a hard time with the HUNH offense? The first quarter last year was an undeniable disaster, but after the defense settled in, they basically shut JFF and crew down. I don't think Alabama will take near as long to settle in tomorrow.

Goombaw,

(a) Many think this year's unit is a stronger offense.
(B) Fans are just that: fanatics. They tend to have positive attitudes about their team(s).

I believe that our QB is better this year than last year. And I believe that our RBs and WRs are better as well. I also believe that Dee Milliner is a tough player to replace.

However, I also happen to believe that we have very hope of stopping Amari Cooper. And despite the losses Bama suffered to the NFL draft on the OLine, I have very little hope of holding TJ Yeldon to under 150 yards and 2 scores.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least for A&M to score 40 and still lose this game.

My prediction is Ags score 44. No joke.

It's possible. It's possible Bama will shut out TAMU. Neither is likely.

Goombaw, your question is valid. There's no doubt that Alabama was one bad throw away from winning that game despite spotting A&M 20 points.

However, the same type of people on A&M's side that think Alabama can't handle our offense are the exact same type of people on Bama's side that don't think a freshman quarterback can actually improve and be better. Manziel's a better QB. Malena's a better RB. Open Mike Evans is a better WR. Not only do a lot of people forget that Manziel was a freshman who made plenty of mistakes, but they also forget that 2012 was Year One of this offensive scheme for A&M. The offense should be better.

Goombaw, The Ags offense is pretty good. The thing about last year is that Bama had a very good offense. It appears that the offense is somewhat shaky. For whatever reason Bama only managed a little over 200 yds in first game. If Bama struggles on offense at all, the defense stays on the field longer. Can the D stay on the field for 90 to 100 plays on a hot afternoon in only the second game of the year AND play at a high level? Very unlikely.

It's not like Bama is coming in to College Station with an established 270 yard per game rushing attack. Bama just doesn't have the type of passing attack that causes A&M fits. Quick, spread type passing is a problem for A&M. That is just not Bama's style. If Bama offense can keep Ags off the field with long drives and keep your D fresh, then Ags won't come close to 40 points.

I think Ags will wear Bama D out just because of the speed, pace of play,it will be hot, and Bama probably isn't 100% in game shape after a game and a bye week.

For me this is just a bad matchup for Bama. Bama definitely has the athletes but they just don't match up well with A&Ms offensive strengths. Sometimes matchup are just bad. Just my opinion based on what I have seen.
