Our baseball team is such fricking garbage. Well, our batting isn't a total dumpster fire but any good will we can conjure at the plate is undone by the ungodly abomination of an undercooked abortion that is our pitching staff. Assuming our brainless, dickless AD actually even fires the baseball coach he hired 4 straight losing seasons ago, his replacement is going to have a great veteran group of bats but nobody to throw the ball anywhere remotely close to the strike zone.

Only allowed 4 hits tonight, though.

I don't think UGA has really fielded a solid team since you borrowed Ron Polk from us after he came out of retirement. But it proved that it can be done at Georgia.

It's sad to see how far Georgia baseball has fallen since 2008 and 2009.

Georgia should've won the national championship in 2008 in baseball and had a stretch where they were ranked #1 in 2009. He may have helped in 2000-2001 but by 08-09, it wasn't his recruiting class that had Georgia as one of the better teams in the United States.

Sad to see where the program is now, and where athletics are at for Georgia now.

No. Polk was here 2 years and took us to a CWS in 2001. Since then we made 3 other CWS including being one game away from a national title in 2008 and have made 6 tournament appearances, the last once coming in 2011.

Shot went south for this program when both Chance Veazey and Jonathan Taylor found themselves paralyzed due to separate freak accidents. Conpletely killed Pernos drive to recruit and develop which eventually led to his dismissal. Problem from there is we had to rely on McGarity to make a quality hire for who "quality" means "value" so we got Scott Stricklin on the cheap from a mid major he small balled to a CWS, the complete opposite of Pernos power hitting teams with guys like Beckham, Poythress, Keppinger, Lewis, etc
