So aTm should be better than LSU on defense next year, right?
They'll be lightyears better than LSU on defense and with their running game. It sounds like aTm should be a national championship contender this year but really just wait until next year.. Monsters

Your boy goldenbadger brought it up.

I'd rather be fired from a respected Big 12 school than a miserable Mountain West school.

We aren't dick riding Wyoming. Just comparing resumes. Christensen has a better resume as an HC, OC and OL coach than Steele does as a HC, DC and LB coach. Look at the resumes and tell me you don't agree. If you do, your just not being honest with yourself.

One averaged 2 wins at a Big 12 school, the other averaged 5 wins at a Mountain West school.. Toss up.

A&M fans RA'd the thread about it being "20 years since they've beaten LSU" and it got deleted.

Why would an LSU fan do that? Plus I mean, everyone on this board saw that thread y'all had on your board awhile back about finding posts and threads on the SEC Rant that make y'all the most butthurt and "RA'd" them...

This.

Also, Christensen has won more games as a head coach than Steele and Orgeron COMBINED.

Christensen 27-35

Orgeron 16-27
Steele 9-36
-------------
Total 25-63

Just food for thought.

WTF is your point? Neither are head coaches right now nor are they being asked to make head coaching decisions. Muschamp sucked as UF's head coach do you not think he is one of the best DC's in the country? BC you sucked as a head coach doesn't mean you can't be a good coordinator.

We had a thread about LSU fans RAing all A&M threads

And LSU fans ra'd it because they were embarrassed by it, and I don't blame them

Most aTm fans on this board aren't old enough to remember their last conference championship.

And the ones that are will die before their next one.

The Ags sure do love bringing Steele's defensive rankings from Baylor and Clemson into these arguments. Just for shits and gigs I looked up Christensen's rushing offenses since 2008.

2008 (Missouri OC) - 153 YPG (53rd)
2009 (Wyoming HC) - 136 YPG (74th)
2010 (Wyoming HC) - 120 YPG (99th)
2011 (Wyoming HC) - 182 YPG (34th)
2012 (Wyoming HC) - 124 YPG (102nd)
2013 (Wyoming HC) - 190 YPG (41st)
2014 (Utah OC) - 190 YPG (41st)

I don't know about you guys, but that sure seems like a dynamite track record of rushing offenses to me.....

We averaged fewer than 150 rushing yards per game last season.

All but three of those seasons you mentioned are a significant improvement from our 2014 stats.

Aggie has nothing better to do then to compare themselves to LSU. Glad your standards are set high.

aTm average 149 YPG in 2014. You consider 4 YPG a significant improvement?

Just to break it down:

3 years under 149 YPG.
1 year as a push (4 YPG difference).
3 years over 149 YPG.

Also, his average over the 7 years was 156 YPG. Spin it all you want, acting like he's going to come in a revolutionize the aTm rushing attack is ignorant, based on past performance. Just as ignorant as LSU fans acting like Steele is going to the same with the D.

ETA: I'll expand even further

YPA:

2008 - 5.12
2009 - 3.57
2010 - 3.57
2011 - 4.87
2012 - 3.38
2013 - 5.10
2014 - 4.38

For reference here is aTm under Sumlin:

2012 - 242 YPG (11th)
2013 - 185 YPG (41st)
2014 - 150 YPG (84th)

2012 - 5.90
2013 - 5.17
2014 - 4.63

So, what exactly was he hired for again? Just to tell Sumlin and the OC to run the ball more?

DC's record of turning a crap O into a strong O is obvious. The #s don't lie. By 4th and 5th year his O was already better than Cam's.

2009 to 2013 - Wyoming - HC
YPG (rank) / PPG (rank)
229 (112) / 17.4 (108)
289.3 (117) / 18.4 (110)
362.9 (78) / 23.5 (80)
402 (56) / 27.3 (66)
475.9 (19) / 30.9 (43)
