Once again Texas worked back channels to ensure we didn't play them, just like the Cotton Bowl after the 2012 season.

They'd rather get shut out 77-0 by Arkansas than play us again.

We have a MUCH better chance of beating the rainbow cows than we do of beating the couch burners.

I guess I'm confused as to why so many people are hung up on us going to Memphis instead of houston

Yes you do.

Unless you are seriously stupid enough to try to tell me the SEC office didn't WANT aTm vs Texas in the inaugural year of a new bowl in one of the best stadiums in the SEC footprint -- practically in your own back yard in what would have been a huge talking point/hugely watched bowl. You ducked them. Plain and simple.

Attendance and tv viewership took a hit both in the Liberty by you taking it from UT and the Texas by you ducking the Horns.

I don't really believe the Aggies worked any backroom magic to avoid Texas, but if they did I wouldn't really blame them. frick Texas. They have nothing to gain from beating Texas in a bowl. Texas has a lot to gain from beating them.

I can't believe they really turned down the Texas bowl for the Liberty.

They must have wanted out REALLY bad to turn down Houston to go to the Liberty Bowl.

Is that place still standing?

Convince myself of what? Why would we be ducking them?

The SEC office wanted A&M vs. Texas in 2012, but the fairy cows threatened to forfeit if they had to face Manziel.

The chairman of the Cotton Bowl CONFIRMED THIS

I have no doubt the SEC gave Arkansas the dying cow to feast on as their reward for their November performance.

So Texas has power over the SEC offices now? This all-powerful entity you claim isn't your rival?

They may have ducked you in 2012 -- but you just ducked them now.
