No, he's not. I like the Orgeron hire too, but the Haley hate from some LSU fans is disgusting.

Well he's not that good. Dline recruiting fell off a lot. Dline performance fell off after 2012 big time.

Orgeron is taking Haley's current job at DL coach. Haley has been offered an administrative position. Can't really say what the real logistics of this offer are, but I believe it has something to do with handling his exit considering the large buyout in the contract he just signed.

If true Texas A&M will definitely became the favorite to finish second for Mack.

Who cares about A&M... They have not done anything in SEC. Missouri has done more with their time in the SEC.

This is true, and its a pretty shitty way for Miles to treat his coaches. Haley was Steele's DC at Baylor, and they had a falling out. Haley goes to LSU and the defensive staff under Chavis works mightily to keep the program relevant even though the offense sucks. What does Miles do? He pays his OC far more than Chavis, and rewards Haley by not only passing him over for the DC job (despite the fact that all of you LSU posters would have been far happier with him being hired than Steele - just reads the posts from the last few weeks, before the Steele hire), but brings in an arguably unqualified hire with whom Haley has bad blood; as soon as Steele was hired, Haley had to be canned, because the two could not have worked together. That seems like a shitty way to treat a guy who saved your arse over and over again.

Bravo, what a melt.

Congratulations to A&M for finishing 2nd on future recruits and lack of quarterback pressure.

You're probably right, A&M loves LSU's sloppy seconds.

This guy just tried to claim they chose to lose Chavis

And LSU is still not even on Mack's radar.

And spare me the poor brick Haley mantra.

You mean to tell me Chavis didn't tell a guy he coached/coached with/knew for years that he wasn't leaving LSU or looking to leave before Brick signed his extension?

bullshite. The fat bastard knew Chavis was leaving and he wanted LSU to buy him out plus ride off to aTm making even more dough on top of what LSU just paid him to leave. It was a smart move until LSU said ok, we'll stick you with an office job until your deal is done.

So now Haley has to make a decision. Leave on his own and no buyout or just drive into the office everyday and sit on his arse.

And he hardly saved LSU's arse. Our DL has generated ZERO pass rush the past few years. I hope he works out great for aTm.

If we do hire Haley, it will be interesting to see what Chavis does with the current staff. He might fire Hagan, coach LBers himself, and split the DEs and DTs up between Price and Haley. Or, he might keep Hagan, fire Price, give Haley the DTs and DEs, and be one of those DCs who doesn't coach a specific position.

I would love it if Chavis coached LB's and Haley handled the line.

o we have any more old coaches to give the Little Brother Aggies.

To give??

Well you seem to have changed your tune over the last few weeks.

Chavis loves Baton Rouge and he is a loyal guy. LSU will not have to match A&M to keep him. Just give him a better offer and he stays in my opinion.I

In the end Chavis gets a better contract and he retires as a Tiger in my opinion.

Thanks for giving us your old coaches as you were so obviously hoping Chavis would be gone a few weeks ago. Seems like you would have said something about him, his age, letting him walk, etc... etc... Yet you thought he was going anywhere.

Hop onto the Orgeron train you sly front runner. Time for you to post something about wanting to get rid of Chavis and wanting Orgeron all along.

LSU was never getting Mack, and now A&M has the complete staff of coaches who weren't recruiting him well enough. Objectively, he won't be going to A&M. Honestly he's been a TCU lock for a few weeks now.

I sincerely doubt we are back in the running for Mack specifically but we are gonna jump back in it for other guys. See CeCe Jefferson. Oh and consider the multiple top-10 DTs of Louisiana for 2016 locked down now, fo sho.

LSU insiders are saying you are wrong and Haley will be retained in some capacity until an additional coaching spot is added and he will coach LB'ers and maybe hold a Co-DC title.
