Has absolutely nothing to do with losses. Michigan is going to the capital one bowl either way.

You're wrong. There is a rule in place that the team cannot have more than 2 loss difference as another team that is eligible. They flat out would not be eligible for the Cap One if Nebraska loses.

Edit: In case you're wondering, here is an article as an example.

LINK

There is a provision in place that may prevent the Capital One Bowl from picking Michigan. Should Nebraska lose the Big Ten title game, the current conference bowl rules require the Capital One Bowl to take the Cornhuskers or a team with only one less win than Nebraska. Currently, Nebraska sits at 10 victories; Michigan has eight.

You just failed simple math.

If Nebraska loses to Wisconsin, they will be 10-3. Michigan is 8-4.

What is the difference between 3 and 4?

Sorry it was one less win. Forgot what the rule was and didn't care to look up their records either. I simply know what I said, originally:

NU wins. We get Michigan.

NU loses. We get NU or Northwestern.

So what I'm seeing is if we lose to Bama, we go to Shreveport?

Yeah, the best part of all this is tu thinks they're off the hook since there won't be a tu/a&m match-up.

LSU is going to stomp the shite out of them and it will be glorious.

That would suck. The Indy bowl sucks as you guys already know.

Can't imagine why UGA wouldn't get a much better bowl.

Ohio State and Penn State are ineligible.

10-2 Nebraska
9-3 Northwestern
8-4 Michigan
7-5 Wisconsin
6-6 Purdue
6-6 Michigan State
6-6 Minnesota

The loser of the SECCG cannot fall below the ChikFilA bowl by contract with the SEC.

It's ingrained in our DNA that we get shite on come bowl time.

From what I'm seeing:

aTm to Cap One
We went to the Outback last year.
Doubt the Chik fil a would want us being local and having played in the SECCG
We play in Jax every year, so I have my doubts about Gator
Cotton won't take us.

Hell, I don't know. Won't be good though.

Unfortunately yes. They are 9-3. Crazy. My big worry if Nebraska loses is that Nebraska was at the Cap One last year. No telling what would happen.

One of the downsides to the SEC bowl deals is that all the games are played in SEC territory. This leaves a decent chance that a team will have to play in or a near a stadium they have already played this year. Granted, most bowls were originally set up so the teams from the midwest could have an excuse to leave their miserable frozen homes

As a sidenote the Cotton Bowl Chair admitted on the radio today that "some members of the Big 12 prefer not to play A&M" though it was a "private conversation" as to exactly who and why. Gee, I wonder.

Chicken littles in Austin afraid to play after all the crowing they did preseason. That whole program is a joke.

Michigan is flat going to refuse to play another SEC team ever

2 years ago the Relf Coast offense went ape shite on them by 52 points and now JFF is going to Teabag Brady Hoke to the tune of 60 points

Well, we did beat Heisman Tebow, but that team was very solid except for the Oregon thrashing (they were all high during App. St.). That said, LSU, A&M, UGA, Fla., whoever it is, kills us. I'm trying to talk my family out of going to the bowl game.

That was also Lloyd Carr's final game.

If this holds up, I think LSU is as equally likely to play OU.

A lot depends on Kent St, but if Bama loses to UGA, I think they easily get the Cotton bowl.

There is still a lot of stuff to shake out this weekend. Either way, I would love to see someone mudhole those pussies in Austin.
