I still can't believe State landed Howland. Would be hilarious though if Stans came to Baton Rouge and made us a powerhouse.

You mean bow out at the NCAA tournament the 1st or 2nd week? Stans is a slightly better version of JJ.

I mean Howland has the same reputation of strictly being a great recruiter, except he's a big time national recruiter. Not that it's a bad thing.

Honestly I would only be mad if Stans was LSU's first choice. I want to see LSU throw around some cash and make 5-7 promising names turn LSU down.

I think Stans would do well, but he'd just be a stale hire

Umm... they're 3-1 in conference, 12-4 overall. I don't think dumpster fire means what you think it means.

I'd like one decent run to the second weekend of the tournament at least.

Our great teams of the 2000-10 era had one thing in common: They never made it past the second round. We were the first casualties of Butler and Xavier becoming great programs, and when we were lower seeds we gave teams like Duke and Memphis everything they wanted in the second round.

Could not win that second round game.

The picture shows firemen have put the fire out. We've been a dumpster fire for five seasons. It may be over. There's a lot of talent on our team.

I hope he stays a MSU. The more better programs in this conference the better. He's building something special.

He's not going anywhere. He's voiced to the student body on multiple occasions that he's all in and sees himself retiring in Starkville. Howland is very approachable from my own experience and encounters that many of my friends have had with him. Don't take this as me being arrogant and pretending to know what he's going to do, but sometimes you can just tell when people are being genuine and when they're giving you "coaches speak"

5 of next 6 games against the six bottom teams in the conference.

I think it will take 12-6 in the SEC to make the tournament. We aren't beating Kentucky Tuesday night, but need to find a way to win in Knoxville and Tuscaloosa.

I'm trying to suppress that glimmer of hope that we might can actually make the tourney. It keeps creeping up in my brain and I don't want a letdown

Howland is retiring at MSU. We can pay, recruit, and we have one of the top weight training and practice centers in the country.

I think Howland is at State for the duration. He is 59 years old and I can see him coaching here 6-8 years or so and then retiring.

Good win for our guys today. Great FT shooting and defense won this game which is good to see in a young team.

Now about Stans to LSU. Kind of hard to see that happening. I think he is in comfort zone at WKU and really don't see him leaving there after only one year.

I don't think you've watched State play basketball the last 5 seasons

I don't see him leaving unless it's big money and the fact he's a Kentucky boy at the core.
